Thank you to the Electoral Oversight Committee

We would like to thank the Electoral Oversight Committee for the valuable work they did during the recent general election. As most of you know, these five individuals applied to be on the Oversight Committee because they wanted to play their part in ensuring a free and clean election process. Each committee member willingly volunteered their time to oversee the election and deal with appeals and complaints as a cohesive group.

As this was the first election under the new Custom Election Code (CEC), they were able to offer excellent feedback on the appeals process and make recommendations for the next election cycle.

Without this committee, rules could not have been enforced which means infractions to the CEC would have had little to no consequences. The SIFN community was heard!
